Property Committee

  • Working with the Museum Director, the Property Committee is the planning body for the long-term internal and external needs of the museum and the property.

  • The Committee will foster a working and cooperative relationship with the Village of Fairport Board of Trustees, Village Administrator and department heads, to identify appropriate improvements, repairs and maintenance that can be accomplished by using their knowledge, resources and personnel.

  • The Property Committee makes budgetary recommendations to the Board of Trustees for building maintenance and repairs for inclusion in the annual budget planning process.

  • The Committee serves the Perinton Historical Society Board in an advisory capacity and partners with the Director who has day-to-day responsibility in dealing with unexpected problems and emergencies, or assumes building responsibilities in absence of Museum Director.
